The Grand Tasting
A unique opportunity to explore a selection of Bordeaux wines that rekindle taste.
There will be around forty Bordeaux wines and more besides, because this year again, we have invited wines which taste better than their label implies from other French winegrowing areas: Alsace, Champagne, Burgundy and Languedoc. These wines have borrowed the ingredients that contribute to great-tasting Bordeaux wines: vibrant fruit and distinctive tannic texture. Amazing!
This Grand Tasting is organised around a specific itinerary, which helps visitors frame and make sense of the complex world of Bordeaux wines.
The Grand Tasting pass gives access and an introduction to several vintages of the exhibiting chateaux, all of which you can taste.
Our partnership with Riedel, the official supplier of glasses to the Salon, enhances visitors' experience of each wine.
Throughout the Salon, meals can be taken on site in the different restaurants of Shangri-La Hotel Paris.
Enjoy an informal lunch or dinner in the Lounge or Bauhinia restaurant. You can also dine in the two-Michelin-starred Abeille gastronomic restaurant or make a genuine culinary trip to China by visiting Shang Palace. More details here
